Therapy in many forms

What’s your go-to comfort food?

I believe in therapy. Talking is helpful, as well as writing out your pain. I do these. I’ve recently started a new work called EMDR. It works differently, deeper. I’m not sure how to explain the process.

People have thrived with a variety of styles also. Name a therapy, and there’s a person who will swear it’s a gift from god.

But, where we started—what was my comfort food? Food, sweets were my therapy, in a sense. In some families, it was the only form allowed.

I grew up with pie and coffee as therapy. Food = love. If I have a sore throat, coffee will help. And for holiday gatherings, we had apple pie and ice cream, a tasty combo.

Your therapy?

Your food?

Let me know about your family. Were they as odd as mine?

*correction to an above mentioned therapy—I previously referred to it as ASMR 🙃. Fast writing gets me in trouble. Please forgive. It’s EMDR.
